Abu Hamid al-Ghazālī (1058-1111) Celebrating 900 Years

Abu Hamid al-Ghazālī (1058-1111) was born in Tus in modern day Iran. One of the most significant and prominent Islamic philosophers, he was a prolific writer on philosophy, theology, law and Sufism. His influence resonates among some of the great Western philosophers.

This exhibition celebrates the life of al-Ghazālī on the 900th anniversary of his passing in 1111 A.D. and highlights some of the unique holdings of the Islamic Studies Library as well as Թ's Rare Books and Special Collections.
