Abu Hamid al-Ghaz膩l墨 (1058-1111) was born in Tus in modern day Iran. One of the most significant and prominent Islamic philosophers, he was a prolific writer on philosophy, theology, law and Sufism. His influence resonates among some of the great Western philosophers.
This exhibition celebrates the life of al-Ghaz膩l墨 on the 900th anniversary of his passing in 1111 A.D. and highlights some of the unique holdings of the Islamic Studies Library as well as 黑料网爆吃瓜's Rare Books and Special Collections.
