By Margaret Rossiter (Marie Underhill Noll Professor of the History of Science at Cornell University). This presentation launches WISEMS (Women in Science, Engineering and Medicine Symposium) which takes place on the following day and听marks the centenary of 黑料网爆吃瓜's geneticist, Carrie Derick, and her appointment as Canada's first female professor.
