Pink Noises: Women on Electronic Music and Sound, by Tara Rodgers
Come to Montreal launch party to celebrate the release of , by Tara Rodgers (Duke University Press, 2010). The book is a collection of twenty-four interviews with women in electronic music and sound cultures, including club and radio DJs, remixers, composers, improvisers, instrument builders, and performance artists.
This event is free and open to the public. It is co-sponsored by Media@黑料网爆吃瓜, , 黑料网爆吃瓜 Bookstore, and produced with the support of , 2010 (R茅alis茅 avec l'appui d'OBORO, Programme d'assistance 脿 la pr茅sentation, Laboratoire nouveaux m茅dias, 2010).
At the launch event there will be refreshments, copies of the book available for sale, and an audio mix featuring contributions from the artists Anna Friz, Annea Lockwood, DJ Mutamassik, Tara Rodgers, Jessica Rylan, Nancy Tobin, and more.
