Through the Eyes of Resisters and Rescuers: Embracing the Will to Act

Wednesday, April 1, 2009 12:30to14:00
Chancellor Day Hall 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA

"You already know enough. So do I. It is not knowledge we lack. What is missing is the courage to understand what we know and to draw conclusions." (Lindqvist, 1996)

By trying to save their own lives or committing to protect victims, resisters and rescuers are driven by a genuine ‘Responsibility to Protect’, will to act. Their acts of resistance therefore carry great insight to reflect upon and be inspired by. Drawing from their experience, this Prevention Campaign aims at devoting momentum to engage Canadian decision-makers, civil society and citizens on the issue of genocide and the prevention of crimes against humanity.
