 anding the behavior of differentials on Riemann surfaces under degeneratio
 n. This technique is the result of solving a parametric jump problem where
  the loop on the Riemann surface and the jump data vary according to a plu
 mbing parameter at the node. In joint work with S. Grushevsky and I. Krich
 ever this tool is used to understand differentials with real period near t
 he boundary of the moduli space.\n
