 ergers and acquisitions. He became a partner of the firm in 1986\,\nthen t
 ook on the responsibilities of managing partner from 1988 to\n1999. He was
  responsible for developing and implementing the growth\nstrategy for the 
 firm.\nHe then joined Alcan Inc in 1999\, serving as Vice-President and\nC
 hief Legal Officer\, then as Senior Vice-President\, Mergers &\nAcquisitio
 ns and Chief Legal Officer. He was responsible for\ndeveloping Alcan’s lon
 g-term strategy through mergers and\nacquisitions and building professiona
 l institutional capabilities\nto develop legal teams and implement growth 
 plans.\nMr. McAusland has extensive experience as a corporate director\nin
  both the “for profit” and “not for profit” sectors.\nThis event is part o
