DESCRIPTION:At Natural Resources Canada\, we don't just think outside the\n
 box-we work outside the box. As well as pens\, paper and computers\,\nthe 
 tools of the trade might include a pick\, or a shovel\, a GPS and\ncamping
  gear. And on some days\, the closest thing to a colleague\nmight have fea
 thers or fur.\nIntrigued? Let's get to know each other a little better dur
 ing this\ninformation session. We’ll start with a short presentation about
 \nour projects\, followed by a meet and greet of ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï alumni working\nwi
 th us\, leaving plenty of time to network. Looking forward to\nmeeting you
  on March 12th\, 2009 from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the\nBrown Building a
 t 3600 McTavish\, Room 5001 (5th floor).\n\nSandwiches and beverages will 
 be served.\n\nMaking a difference…\nWe number almost 5\,000 strong. Two-th
 irds work in the National\nCapital Region and one-third in offices across 
 the country. Here's\nwhat some of our science and technology professionals
  are up to\nin:\n\n\nQuebec...helping factories integrate processes to sav
 e energy\,\nreduce greenhouse gases and lower production costs.\n\n\nOntar
 io...working on lighter automobile parts made of magnesium\nto improve fue
 l efficiency and reduce greenhouse gases.\n\n\nBritish Columbia...where th
 e mountain pine beetle has ravaged\nforests...a scientist is studying the 
 effect of climate change on\nthis outbreak\, now and in the future.\n\n\nN
 ewfoundland...studying the relationship between climate change\nand our fo
 rests.\n\n\nAlberta...developing ways to clean up mine sites by removing\n
 water from oil sands tailings.\n\n\nThe Arctic… mapping underwater rock fo
 rmations with a view to\nextending Canada's border and securing oil and mi
 neral\nresources.\n\n\n*Over half our people work in science and technolog
 y. But like\nany large outfit\, we offer careers in policy\, finance\, Inf
 ormation\nTechnology\, Human Resources\, communications and the like. So t
 here\nare plenty of opportunities for graduates in fields of study such\na
 s business\, humanities and social sciences too.\n*You'll find more lab co
 ats and sweaters than suits here. But\nwhatever the look\, we all share a 
 passion for the sustainable\ndevelopment of natural resources.\nPlease RSV
