 id Hussain\nMicrobial Fuel Cells\n\nMicrobial Fuel Cells (MFC) offer a new
  approach to energy\ngeneration in a sustainable manner from biodegradable
  compounds.\nThey can use complex organic compounds and are considered to 
 be\nsuitable for waste water treatment. Although the technology is\npromis
 ing\, there are still some serious limitations which need to\nbe addressed
  before this technology can be considered as\neconomically viable.\n\nAbid
  Hussain finished his Master’s degree in Bioresource\nEngineering in 2009 
 and is now working on his PhD under the\nsupervision of Professor Raghavan
 .\n\n\nItem 7: Deepika Arumugam\nSouth Indian Marriage Ceremony\n\nThe mar
 riage ceremony in southern India is an auspicious occasion.\nIt consists o
 f a number of rituals which each have their\nsignificance. Although there 
 are several different types of\nmarriages celebrated in southern India\, i
 n this seminar the Brahmin\nmarriage will be presented. This is a two-day 
 family\nfunction.\n\nDeepika Arumugam is from India where she obtained her
  Bachelor of\nTechnology degree in Industrial Biotechnology from the Gover
 nment\nCollege of Technology\, Coimbatore\, Tamil Nadu. She is currently\n
 pursuing her Master's degree in Bioresource Engineering under the\nsupervi
 sion of Professor Vijaya Raghavan.\n
