How does the continuing impact of colonialism\naff ect the discourse on reconciliation and responsibility for\nhistoric wrong s?\n\nPluralistic and Comparative Perspectives on Truth and\nReconciliatio n.\nWhat approaches to reconciliation have emerged in settler states\nto r edress historic wrongs against Indigenous communities\,\nparticularly the harms linked to residential schools? What are some\nof the complexities an d contradictions in these initiatives? \nHow do diverse Indigenous traditi ons influence our understanding of\nreconciliation?\n\nRights and Reconcil iation: Pathways Forward.\nTo what extent is human rights discourse helpfu l in developing\nways to redress past wrongs and restructure relationships between\nindividuals and communities? What is the relevance of internatio nal\nand domestic rights in relation to the residential school\nexperience in Canada?  What are the limits of rights\ndiscourse?\n\n\nThe goal of th e workshop is to share some preliminary ideas and\nthinking about these th emes and to identify avenues of further\nresearch and reflection.
