Luiza Pereira\, Program Officer\, Killam Program\, Canada\nCouncil for the Arts will give a general presenta tion on the Killam\nProgram.\nThe presentation will include historical and statistical\ninformation\, explanations on eligibility and application\nr equirements\, tips on how to improve one's application and\ninformation on the electronic filing process. The presentation will\nbe followed by a ge neral question period. Ms. Pereira will also be\navailable\, after the pre sentation\, (between 4:00 and 5:00) to\nmeet with researchers individually .\nResearchers who anticipate submitting an application to the 2013\nKilla m Research Fellowship competition are strongly encouraged to\nattend this meeting as are potential nominators and/or nominees for\nthe 2013 Killam P rize.\nKILLAM RESEARCH FELLOWSHIPS are offered on a\ncompetitive basis to support distinguished Canadian researchers\,\nnormally full professors in Canadian universities\, in any of the\nfollowing broad fields: humanities\ , social sciences\, natural\nsciences\, health sciences\, engineering and studies linking any of\nthe disciplines within these broad fields. Canadia n citizens or\npermanent residents of Canada may hold the Fellowships.\nTh ey are “release time” fellowships\, which provide two\nyears of full relea se from teaching and administrative\nduties.
