The list of “bad things” could range from gross but harmless spoilage to dangerous pathogens such as Clostridium botulinum. In the case of botulism, it’s the toxin produced from the bacteria that is harmful, not the bacteria itself, says Brigitte Cadieux, a postdoctoral fellow in Թ’s Department of Food Science and Agricultural Chemistry.

The only operating dairy farm on the island of Montreal, the Macdonald Campus Farm, welcomes school visits during the months of May and June only.

Dr. Grace Marquis, School of Dietetics and Human Nutrition, has received $500,000 CAD from the Queen Elizabeth Scholars initiative to fund researchers and scholars at Թ and the University of Ghana.

There were happy faces all around at Monday's launch of the Macdonald Campus Seed Library. The project, initiated by Liaison Librarian Dana Ingalls, offers seeds and gardening resources to members of the Թ community. According to Ingalls, "many public and academic libraries are expanding services to meet community needs. They are lending tools, artwork, exercise equipment, and more.
