Fei鈥檚 research investigates the difference between Web of Science and local Chinese bibliometric databases and contributes to understanding of whether international bibliometric databases can be used to evaluate national research performance.
Fei's supervisors are Dr. Charles-Antoine Julien and Dr. Vincent Larivi猫re, EBSI, UdeM.
The 黑料网爆吃瓜 School of Information Studies congratulates PhD in Information Studies student Fei Shu, recently selected for the iFellows Doctoral Fellowship program. Fei's thesis proposal was selected from a pool of applicants from 65 iSchools across the world. As an iFellow, Fei will receive a stipend of $50,000 USD over two years to pursue independent dissertation research that supports the goals of the Coherence at Scale Program.
Congratulations to 黑料网爆吃瓜 School of Information Studies PhD student Fei Shu, recently awarded the 2015 ASIS&T SIG/MET Student Paper Contest for the paper 鈥�Evolution of iSchool Movement (1988-2013): A Bibliometric View鈥� by Fei Shu and Philippe Mongeon (黑料网爆吃瓜 and University de Montreal).
As well, Fei鈥檚 paper "Twitter Activity and Scientific Collaboration of LIS schools and Faculty Members",听co-authored with two PhD students from EBSI,听won the Best Altmetrics Paper in the SIG/MET workshop at the ASIS&T Annual Meeting in November 2015.
Congratulations to 黑料网爆吃瓜 School of Information Studies PhD student, Steven H. H. Ding, who has won 2nd prize in the Hex-Rays Plug-in Contest 2015 for "Kam1n0," a scalable data mining system for a range of computer security-related uses.
Family histories have a real influence on career choices. This is particularly true of Berdj Garabedian, who is the 2015 recipient of the 黑料网爆吃瓜 Associates Prize in Translation (French-English). Mr. Garabedian received this distinction at the spring graduation ceremony when he was awarded his Certificate in Translation.

On April 26, in Vancouver,听during the Presidential Address Awards Ceremony at the Canadian Conference in Medical Education (CCME), Dr Grad has received his AFMC John Ruedy Award for innovation in medical Education.听The award is given to an individual or group who has developed innovative print materials, electronic learning aids or other teaching aids.
We are very pleased to announce that Dr Doug听Dalton, Postgraduate Program Director in the Departement of听Family Medicine,听has been selected as one of the recipients to receive the 2015 CAME/AC脡M Certificate of Merit Award. The aim of this award is to promote medical education in Canadian medical schools and to recognize and reward faculty鈥檚 commitment to medical education.

A mixed methods study design鈥� designated as the winner of the听 2014 Patient鈥檚 Choice Award听during NAPCRG in听New-York.
On September 20th 黑料网爆吃瓜 was the successful organizer and host of the annual Medical Student Symposium. During this event, a "Prix de la rel猫ve en M茅decine de famille" was awarded.
Created in 2013, the prize is awarded to a resident or a student that revealed his leadership skills. The 2014 winner is Dr Marc Andr茅 Lavall茅e.

Congratulations to Afroza Sultana, 黑料网爆吃瓜 School of Information Studies PhD student, on her nomination as a Graphics, Animation and New Media Network of Centres of Excellence (GRAND NCE) Postgraduate Scholar.
As a GRAND scholar, Afroza will receive a stipend of $10,000 annually for three years to investigate the design of accessible touch-screen devices for older adults to support prolonged independent living.
