Professor Hans Beck听has been named a 2015 Anneliese Maier Research Prize Winner. Awarded by the Humboldt Foundation in Germany, the prize recognises excellence in research and leadership in international collaboration in the Humanities and Social Sciences. An award is valued at EUR 250,000, spendable over a period of five years.听Prof. Beck's host in Germany is Peter Funke with whom he will work on the manifestations of localism in the ancient Greek world. Other collaborations include joint projects with Karl-J. H枚lkeskamp in Cologne and Martin Jehne in Dresden. Read the press release from M眉nster University听.听Congratulations to Professor Beck!
