Professor Hans BeckÌýhas been named a 2015 Anneliese Maier Research Prize Winner. Awarded by the Humboldt Foundation in Germany, the prize recognises excellence in research and leadership in international collaboration in the Humanities and Social Sciences. An award is valued at EUR 250,000, spendable over a period of five years.ÌýProf. Beck's host in Germany is Peter Funke with whom he will work on the manifestations of localism in the ancient Greek world.
