Mr. Gondi gave the students an overview of their investment approach, talked about some of the promising research trends at Balyasny and gave a few stock pitches to the students.

Armstrong Building opens to students
Our new MBA & Masters building is named for Professor Donald E. Armstrong, PhD鈥�54 (1925-2011).
The 48,666 sq. ft. expansion by EKM brings new dedicated teaching and learning spaces that benefit all in the Faculty.
While the building is open for students as of January 2018, the grand opening is slated for May 25-27.

黑料网爆吃瓜 hosted the world鈥檚 first business-school competition focused on the asset allocation of pension funds on November 3鈥�4.
The inaugural聽黑料网爆吃瓜 International Portfolio Challenge聽(MIPC) welcomed 25 finalist student teams from leading institutions around the world, with some traveling from as far away as Australia, Hong Kong and Switzerland to pitch their proposals to a panel of judges from several of Canada鈥檚 largest asset managers.

Second cohort of MMF students dive right in
Since starting up in July, the second cohort of the Masters of Management in Finance program is in full swing.
The diverse class of 42 students represents 11 countries and is joining the program with an array of academic backgrounds.
The participants also have a full slate of social engagement activities and sports achievements under their belts, and will build upon their existing work experience as they delve further into the world of finance.

About 35 people will walk into a $3.5-million investment management operation and begin to work as analysts this summer. But they won鈥檛 be recent grads 鈥� well, not alums of finance programs. In fact, they鈥檒l just be beginning their degrees in finance at the Desautels Faculty of Management.
