Published: 26 January 2026

A sudden restructuring in Quebec's healthcare system turned a planned class project into a live consulting challenge for students in MGPO 485: Emerging Technologies—Organizing and Societal Stakes. Midway through the semester, the government announced a merger between INESSS and INSPQ, forcing student teams to rapidly reassess their assumptions and adapt their strategic recommendations.

Guided by Professor Samer Faraj, students worked directly with senior leaders at INESSS on projects ranging from AI strategy to future organizational design. The fast‑moving context gave them a rare chance to contribute meaningful insights during a moment of real institutional change.

The collaboration highlighted ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï Desautel's growing role in health innovation, offering students transformative hands‑on experience, shaping their perspectives on AI, public policy, and careers in digital health.
