As sea levels rise and storms intensify\, it’s not just the fi shery and the livelihoods of the people that are at stake\, but also the r ich cultural heritage of these coastal communities.\n\n Leila Beaudoin left the daily newsbeat to live by the sea. She returned to her coastal home p ost-pandemic to focus on climate change\, oceans\, and fisheries. Her work is told through rural witnesses\, coastal communities\, and nature.\n\n Sh e lives in a tiny home on the Northwest Atlantic. When she’s not there she ’s working with CBC Newfoundland and Labrador.\n\n  \n \n Maxime Corneau\n\n T UKTOYAKTUK : Où aller quand l’océan nous engloutit ?\n\n Set in the Arctic community of Tuktoyaktuk\, this film explores the urgent question of displ acement as rising seas and erosion threaten homes\, infrastructure\, and w ays of life.\n\n Maxime Corneau is a journalist at Radio-Canada since 2010.
