PROJECTIONS: SANKOFA exhibition - Kanga I, II, III by Shanna Strauss
Join us on February 23, 2026 at 7 p.m. in the Trottier Building Mezannine (3630 University) for a public exhibit of Shanna Strauss鈥� artworks, Kanga I, II, III. Part of the broader digital art initiative, Projections, that aims at strengthening the inclusion of underrepresented groups through art, this exhibition is the first event in celebration of Projections II: SANKOFA, which centers on African and Caribbean cultural heritage through contemporary artistic impression.
The evening will include a roundtable discussion on the artworks, the meaning of 鈥淪ankofa鈥� and community, followed by a reception.
Projections: SANKOFA听is led by Black students from the National Society of Black Engineers - 黑料网爆吃瓜 (NSBE) and from across 黑料网爆吃瓜 in collaboration with the Faculty of Engineering and the Visual Arts Collection (VAC).
