Celebrating Resident Doctors Appreciation Week

Dear colleagues,

Today marks the beginning of Resident Doctors Appreciation Week, taking place from February 9 to 13. This week offers an important opportunity to recognize and celebrate the extraordinary contributions of our family medicine residents.

Through their clinical excellence, dedication to patients, commitment to learning, and support of one another, our family medicine residents make a meaningful difference every day, often in ways that go unseen. Taking a moment to acknowledge their efforts can have a powerful impact.

I invite you to join me in sending a thank-you message to a resident who has positively impacted your life, supported your learning, or gone the extra mile. Even a brief message of gratitude can go a long way in reinforcing residents’ sense of purpose and belonging within our family medicine community. Please and we will compile all submissions into a collective collage of appreciation messages.

This week also aligns with national celebrations led by the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC) who are offering free webinars, tools and resources for residents. These include webinars on residents’ most-requested topics, such as the Certification Examination, Mainpro+®, and CaSPR®, with opportunities for live Q&A. Residents are encouraged to take advantage of these sessions throughout the week.

Thank you for helping us recognize, support, and celebrate our resident doctors - this week and every week.

Warm regards,
Marion Dove,
Chair, Department of Family Medicine, ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï
