Biography: 

Josephine Nalbantoglu was Dean of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï from 2015 to 2026. Prior to her appointment, she served as the Director of the Integrated Program in Neuroscience. As Dean, she has worked to enhance the graduate student experience through a variety of initiatives, including the launch of graduate mobility awards, doctoral internships, communications training, and skills development.
Dr. Nalbantoglu is a member of the Department of Neurology and Neurosurgery with affiliations to the Montreal Neurological Institute (the Neuro). She earned her PhD in Biochemistry from ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï and returned as a faculty member after pursuing postdoctoral research in Montreal, London, UK and Saitama, Japan. The major focus of her laboratory at the Neuro has been the study of normal and aberrant gene expression in the nervous system.
