He focuses on development finance\, particularly on the effective use of public and private capital to help achieve the 20 30 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The particular topics that he cover s include: the operating models and methods of development finance institu tions\, blended finance\, funding needs for the advancement of priority se ctors and underserved segments of the population\, environment finance\, a nd impact investing.\n\nChristian possesses experience in investment banki ng and in economic & social development\, having worked for international banks and for a regional development finance institution. His research investigates Canadian global engagement and national multi-stakeholder fora to support engageme nt on the global stage.\n\nRobert served as managing director and chief bu siness officer at the World Economic Forum. Prior to this\, he was preside nt and deputy minister of the Canadian International Development Agency an d a senior visiting executive with the International Development Research Centre in Ottawa.
