Leslie Fierro

Leslie FierroLeslie Fierro is the Sydney Duder Professor in Program Evaluation at the Max Bell School.

Dr. Fierro is a globally recognized evaluation scholar and practitioner. Her professional practice and scholarship focus on helping organizations and broader systems strengthen their capacity to support the effective commissioning, planning, implementation, and use of evaluation. Prior to her time with ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, she worked for the U.S. CDC, Deloitte Consulting LLP, Canada’s International Development Research Centre, and Claremont Graduate University. Some of her most recent work includes co-leading the update of the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Program Evaluation Framework, leading the first case competition in evaluation capacity building (the Max Bell School of Public Policy’s Evaluation Capacity Case Challenge), and co-authoring several articles examining and advancing the field of evaluation capacity building. Dr. Fierro is the former Co-Editor-in-Chief of the American Evaluation Association’s (AEA) New Directions for Evaluation, the former Associate Editor of English language articles for the Canadian Journal of Program Evaluation, and is a current AEA Board Member-at-Large.
