Federal fund will support transformative high risk, high reward research across engineering, science, and medicine at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï

Five ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï research teams are recipients of $1.25 million in total funding from the New Frontiers in Research Fund (NFRF), part of a nearly $23‑million federal investment supporting 92 research projects across Canada.

The NFRF funds interdisciplinary, high-risk, high-reward, transformative research led by Canadian researchers working with Canadian and international partners. The program is administered by the Tri-agency Institutional Programs Secretariat, which is housed within the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), on behalf of Canada’s three federal research funding agencies: SSHRC, the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC).
