Biography: 

Sam Dusinberre joined the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal as 4th/Utility trumpet in May 2022. Previously, he served as acting 2nd trumpet with the National Symphony Orchestra in Washington, DC. He has also performed and recorded as guest principal trumpet with the London Symphony Orchestra, as well as appearing with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Minnesota Orchestra, the Colorado Symphony Orchestra, and the Florida Orchestra.

Sam earned his Bachelor of Music in Trumpet Performance at Rice University in Houston, Texas, studying with Charlie Geyer and Barbara Butler. While there, he was a finalist in the concerto competition in 2018, 2019, and 2020 and was the recipient of the Armando Ghitalla endowed scholarship. Sam is from Boulder, Colorado and enjoys hiking and skiing whenever possible.
