Abstract:听Although intracellular tau has been linked to the symptoms of Alzheimer's disease (AD) through post-mortem studies, recent developments in tau-related biomarkers have suggested a multiphase evolution of tau-related changes that is unique to AD. In this talk we will highlight work in autosomal dominant and sporadic AD that opens up the mechanistic and therapeutic implications of tau biomarkers.
Eric McDade
Eric McDade, DO, is Professor of Neurology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. His research interests include the application of cerebrospinal fluid and neuroimaging measures to identify early pathology of Alzheimer鈥檚 disease with the ultimate goal of identifying early markers of Alzheimer鈥檚 disease progression that can be used in testing disease modifying therapies.
