Expert: False health information online

A by the Canadian Medical Association finds that 97 per cent of doctors report having intervened to prevent harm or address consequences after a patient followed false or misleading health information obtained online, including advice from AI.

Zawati studies health law, novel technologies and ethics. His research has found that biased data and weak oversight in AI-driven health apps can lead to inaccurate and unsafe health advice.
