 d administrators to an information session on \n\nFRQNT Research Support f
 or New Academics Grants\n\nDate: Tuesday\, August 8\, 2023\n\nTime: 10:00a
 m-12:00pm\n\nThis session will be hosted on Zoom – link and password will 
 be provided to those who RSVP. \n\nThe purpose of this program is to foste
 r a new generation of researchers within the university research and teach
 ing community by assisting new researchers who have just launched their ac
 ademic career to become established as independent researchers and become 
 competitive nationally and internationally. The program also seeks to stre
 ngthen the research system by encouraging new researchers to develop origi
 nal avenues of research.\n\nResearchers with projects in the natural scien
 ces\, mathematical sciences and engineering who are planning to apply to t
 he upcoming FRQNT Research Support for New Academics competition (2024-202
 5) are encouraged to attend this information session\, which will include:
 \n\nA presentation about the objectives and application requirements of th
 e FRQNT Research Support for New Academics Grants by Biljana Vasilevska\, 
 Grants and Agreements Officer OSR\;\n	A presentation on tips and best pract
 ices for preparing a successful FRQNT application by Prof. Daniele Malomo 
 (Department of Civil Engineering).\n	A question and answer period where par
 ticipants will be encouraged to raise any questions they may have about th
 e program or the application process.\nThose who are unable to attend or w
 ho wish to provide their questions in advance are invited to send their in
 quiries to biljana.vasilevska [at] mcgill.ca (Biljana Vasilevska) in advan
 ce so that they may be covered during the session.\n\nYou are invited to r
