These challenges call not only for more effective collaborative models of care\, but also for s tronger attention to the structural determinants of health that shape ineq uities in access and outcomes. Equity-Promoting Integrated Care (EPIC) off ers a transformative approach by intentionally embedding equity objectives within the design\, governance\, and delivery of integrated care models. This seminar examines how policy supports\, organizational arrangements\, and frontline practices can be aligned to strengthen collaboration and red uce disparities. Drawing on policy analysis and practice-based evidence\, it illustrates how equity can be operationalized across macro-\, meso-\, a nd micro-levels of health systems.\n\n Learning Objectives\n\n At the end of this talk\, attendees will be able to:\n\n \n \n Describe key system pressur es (population ageing and social vulnerability) driving the need for equit y-promoting integrated care\;\n \n \n Apply various theoretical approaches to examining health systems challenges to achieving EPIC\;\n \n \n Identifying actionable strategies for supporting and advancing EPIC models of care.\n \n \n\n Speaker Bio\n\n Paul Wankah\, MD\, PhD is an Assistant Professor at M cGill University’s Faculty of Dental Medicine and Oral Health Sciences. As a health services and policy researcher\, his work focuses on understandi ng how health systems adapt to advance integrated and equity-promoting car e. Using qualitative and mixed-methods approaches\, he examines the policy \, organizational\, and relational dynamics that shape the design\, implem entation\, and routinization of collaborative models of care\, with partic ular attention to underserved and structurally marginalized populations.\n \n\n \n DTSTART:20260216T203000Z DTEND:20260216T213000Z SUMMARY:Advancing Health System Transformation Through Equity Promoting Int egrated Care: Policy and Practice URL:/spgh/channels/event/advancing-health-system-trans formation-through-equity-promoting-integrated-care-policy-and-practice-370 628 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
