JOOAY version 2

JOOAY, the brain-child of Dr. Keiko Shikako-Thomas and Dr. Annette Majnemer has had an update! After its debut in 2015, version 2.0 has been rolled out. JOOAY is an interactive App that uses geo-location on users’ mobile devices to showcase activities ranging from arts programs and social recreation to sports, day camps, respite homes, support groups, and other activities nearby. The new and improved version of the App now includes a chat function.

Dr. Barbara Mazer promoted to Associate Professor

Dr. Barbara Mazerhas been promoted to Associate Professor [Professional] in recognition for her excellence in teaching and clinical research!

Dr. Mazer’s research focuses on the rehabilitation of adults and children with neurological impairments; specifically, the factors associated with utilization of rehabilitation services, integration into the community, participation in leisure activities and use of transportation/driving.

The award is presented to a student member who has demonstrated leadership and made outstanding contributions to the promotion of the profession.
