Biography: 

Dr. Albers completed his medical school and orthopaedic residency training at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï in 2015, followed by subspecialty training in Adult Hip and Knee Reconstruction at the University of British Columbia. He holds a position of Associate Professor of Surgery at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, he is the current director of orthopaedic research at St-Mary’s Hospital and the current Assistant Program Director for ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï’s Orthopaedic Residency Program.

Dr. Albers’ clinical focus is helping patients with degenerative or post traumatic hip and knee pathologies improve their quality of life. His expertise includes ultrasound guided injections for osteoarthritis and all facets of hip and knee arthroplasty, including primary and revision hip/knee replacements, unicompartmental (partial) knee replacements, patello-femoral knee replacements and robotic-assisted surgeries.

Dr. Albers has received numerous awards including the ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï Division of Orthopaedic Surgery Educator of the Year Award, the Harvey H. Sigman Undergraduate Teaching Excellence Award, and the Robert Turcotte Altruistic Patient Care Award. Dr. Albers strives to deliver optimized care in a bilingual environment, leading his patients to the best possible functional outcomes.
