Setrag Manoukian is a cultural anthropologist interested in knowledge and its relationship with power, understood both as existential and social force. In his research he spends time with people and approaches cities, poems, videos, and other technologies as forms of knowledge, especially attending to their historicity. His area of specialty is Iran. He previously taught at the Universit脿 degli Studi di Firenze, the Universit脿 degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and the Universit脿 Ca鈥橣oscari di Venezia.
