Setrag Manoukian is a cultural anthropologist interested in knowledge and its relationship with power, understood both as existential and social force. In his research he spends time with people and approaches cities, poems, videos, and other technologies as forms of knowledge, especially attending to their historicity. His area of specialty is Iran. He previously taught at the Università degli Studi di Firenze, the Università degli Studi di Milano-Bicocca and the Università Ca’Foscari di Venezia.
