Director’s message

Welcome to the ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï Career Planning Service (CaPS).

As a parent or family member, you play an important role in your student's career development. Research consistently shows that parents are among the most influential people in students' career decision-making. As your student navigates university life, your encouragement and support can help them explore opportunities, build confidence, and make informed career choices.

CaPS is ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï's central career centre, supporting students at every stage of their academic journey, from undergraduate studies through postdoctoral training. We offer career advising, career exploration programs, workshops, employer events, networking opportunities, and access to , our job and internship platform featuring opportunities in Montreal, across Canada, and around the world.

We encourage students to begin career exploration early and to gain experience throughout their studies. Whether through internships, part-time jobs, research, volunteer work, leadership roles, or extracurricular activities, these experiences help students develop valuable skills and clarify their interests and goals. Our team is here to help students identify opportunities, connect with employers and alumni, and prepare for success beyond ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï.

How You Can Help

Talk with your student about their career goals and encourage them to make career development part of their university experience from the start. Whether they are exploring options, seeking experience, preparing for interviews, or searching for employment, CaPS is here to support them every step of the way.

We look forward to helping your student make the most of their ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï experience and prepare for a meaningful and successful future.
