We are contacting Dental Students across Canada, to assist AEBC with our fund raising efforts. We are raising funds to provide an individualized “Self Defense Program” for blind, deaf-blind and partially sighted adults. Larry Lewis, President of Flying Blind () and his training partner from the United States, will provide two and a half days ofindividualized self-defense training for participants. With your help, we can achieve our goal.

The great historian Marcel Trudel liked to talk about the myths and realities of Quebec's history. On my side, I'll talk about the myths and realities of the international role of Quebec's universities - a key role for the success of Quebec.

 Monsieur Cohen est l’un des 13 lauréats d’un Prix du Québec, dont les noms ont été dévoilés aujourd’hui dans le cadre d’une conférence de presse tenue à Montréal.


Doté d’une voix qui fait vibrer les cœurs et d’un sens de la poésie qui remue les âmes, Leonard Cohen a été extrêmement prolifique au fil de ses 50 années de carrière. Il a publié son premier recueil de poésie alors qu’il était encore étudiant de premier cycle à la Faculté des arts de Թ. Depuis, il a inspiré et ému par ses multiples talents des générations de lecteurs et de spectateurs dans le monde entier. Diplômé de l’Université Թ (B.A. 1955) et récipiendaire d’un doctorat honorifique (D. ès L. 1992), Leonard Cohen a été élu l’un des Grands Mcgillois, concours organisé par l’Association des diplômés de Թ dans le cadre des célébrations entourant le 190e anniversaire de la célèbre institution montréalaise.

CALGARY, Oct. 11, 2012 /CNW/ – Canadian Pacific (TSX:CP) (NYSE:CP) today announced that Brian Grassby (BCom’79, DPA’80) has been appointed Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) effective November 1, 2012. Kathryn McQuade has informed the company she will retire from the role of CFO on that date. McQuade will remain as a Senior Advisor to Grassby until the end of her contract in May 2013 to ensure a successful transition.

Love, respect and integrity: those are the three principles upon which Aldo Bensadoun (BCom’64) says he has built his global shoe business, now worth $1.8 billion in retail sales annually.

Given his charitable work, ready smile and the respect with which his thousands of employees refer to him as Mr. B., there may be something to it.

… The shoe business runs in the family. Bensadoun’s grandfather was a cobbler in Algeria, and his father had stores in Morocco. He grew up in Morocco and France before heading to the U.S. and then to Թ for his university education.
