GoodHeart Study: Minority stress and blood pressure regulation in transgender, gender-diverse and non-binary adults

The purpose of this study is to understand the impact of minority stress experiences on blood pressure regulation in transgender, gender-diverse, and non-binary adults.

Highlights:

  • Co-developed with community partners
  • Recruiting self-identifying trans, gender-diverse, and non-binary adults, regardless of hormone use
  • Participation involves 2 separate study visits (~5 hrs total) and questionnaires
    • Familiarization (~2 hr)
    • Test Day (~3 hrs) ($80 CAD compensation, if completed)
    • Optional: 24hr blood pressure monitor ($50 CAD compensation, if completed
