1. Deadlines and Instructions:

Below you will find deadlines and instructions for the submission of final grade and the final report for the current term.Ìý In general, final reports are due on the last day of classes for the term and supervisors have one week to submit the grade.ÌýÌý

The information below is for all COGS 396, 401, and 444 research projects which are ending:Ìý Winter 2026 and Summer 2026.

2. Frequently Asked Questions:

  1. What is the format of the final report? How long should it be?
    We do not have guidelines for the format of the final report; this will be at the discretion of the supervisor.

  2. What is the method of evaluation for the final grade?
    This is at the discretion of the supervisor.Ìý This was outlined on the COGS Research Course Approval form. A summary of all the project details can be found in the emailÌýthat was sent when the project was approved by the supervisor and course coordinatorÌýand the registrationÌýpermitÌýwas issued.

  3. Does the supervisor or student need to submit anything to the Cognitive Science program mid semester/mid year?
    No. The only thing that must be submitted is a copy of the final report and the final grade at the end of the final semester.Ìý For projects that are spanning two semesters, for example Fall-WinterÌýspan, this means the deadlines are at the end of Winter semester when the project is complete.

  4. When will the CogSci Poster Fair be held this year and how do I sign up?
    The 2026 CogSci Poster Fair will be held in April 2026. All students doing COGS projects are welcome to present their research. Please speak with your supervisor if you are interested in presenting. An invitation to sign up will be sent to all COGS students in the Winter term.
