46th DMAA 2026

DMAA 2026

The 46th Desautels Management Achievement Awards (DMAA) Ceremony

In our laureates we celebrate the bold thinkers, fearless builders, and relentless problem-solvers who refuse to accept “what is” and instead imagine “what if.” Our innovators are individuals who challenge convention, transform industries, and create lasting impact through vision, creativity, and courage. They see opportunity where others see obstacles, and possibility where others see limits.

Student organizers reflected on what made this year’s ceremony especially meaningful:

“What made the 46th edition really special was the opportunity to partner with the Business Development Bank of Canada. We share a commitment to celebrating Canadian entrepreneurship, and hosting the ceremony in their head office made this year’s edition feel particularly meaningful.”
— Jeanne Coquerel, BCom’26

History - Recognizing exceptional leaders in business

The DMAA was established in 1979 by Neil Murdoch (BCom’81), Alan De Sousa (BCom’81) and Wayne Townsend (BCom’81). This event is organized annually by Desautels undergraduate students to honour business leaders who have made a significant contribution to society, both through their success in business and their community involvement. The event also provides an opportunity for students to network with industry professionals.

Winners are selected by the student Executive Committee members, Faculty members and alumni representatives. Past award winners come from a variety of industries and demonstrate outstanding leadership, entrepreneurship, ethics and corporate social responsibility - core values that capture the spirit of Desautels Management students.

For the organizing team, the evening was an opportunity to celebrate a shared vision of innovation:

“Our goal was to celebrate individuals who challenge convention and create meaningful change. This year’s laureates embodied that spirit beautifully, each reflecting the ambition and boldness at the heart of this year’s theme.”
— Mahé Parenté Benard
