New U.S. tariffs on Canadian goods unlikely to change trade conditions

Amid renewed trade tensions between the U.S. and Canada, Թ Desautels assistant professor Preetika Joshi says the latest 10 per cent tariffs on Canadian goods are unlikely to change conditions for businesses or consumers.

Joshi notes that the measures replace tariffs introduced in February and continue to exempt goods covered by the Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement.

Olayinka Oni named non-executive director of Sterling Bank
