Summer Studies

Students wishing to make up deficiencies in their background, or to accelerate their progress to the degree, may do so by taking summer courses at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï or at another institution.

ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï Summer Studies offers over 600 credit courses in various disciplines. Courses begin in either May, June, or July, and are usually one-month intensive. For more details, see Summer Studies.

If you take a ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï summer course to complete your graduation requirements, you will receive your degree at the Fall convocation (normally held in November).

It is your responsibility to follow University and Faculty regulations. You cannot register for more than 12 credits during the Summer term, at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï or at other universities.

You may take a maximum of two courses in Arts, Education, Engineering, Management, or Science, in any one Summer session (May, June, or July session).

Please note that the schedule of lectures in Summer courses is very intensive and that two courses in one session is considered a very heavy workload.

Should students wish to pursue courses at another institution, credit will be granted for such courses only if they fit into the student's overall program, and if permission to do such courses for credit has been obtained in advance from the BCom Student Affairs Office. Review the information about the Quebec University Network to take a course at another Quebec university, or the Independent Study-Away to take a course at an institution outside Quebec.
