Faculty of Education Helps Ukranians

On May 5th members of the Faculty of Education launched a four-part series of live, interactive seminars to assist Ukrainian teachers, psychologists and support staff in helping people, particularly children, deal with the horrific consequences of the on-going war. Professor Philip Howard, DISE, Recognized as the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools Graduate Faculty Teaching Award, 2021-2022 Doctoral Level

The Department of Integrated Studies in Education is proud to share that Dr. Philip Howard is the recipient of the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools Graduate Faculty Teaching Award, 2021-2022 Doctoral Level.

This award recognizes excellence and creativity in teaching of graduate students at the doctoral program level and innovation in graduate curriculum development and implementation.

In Memoriam: Dr. Jacques Rebuffot (1936-2022)

Dr. Jacques Rebuffot, Emeritus Professor of Second Language Education at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï’s Faculty of Education, passed away on January 5, 2022, at the age of 85. He will be deeply missed by his wife of 60 years, Denise, and their three children (Geneviève, Anne, and Philip) and seven grandchildren.

Dear Members of the ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï community,

ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï is home to a vibrant international community, and many of us have roots in countries around the world. Global crises can affect us all.

The ongoing conflict in Ukraine has been a source of deep preoccupation to many of us. As Principal of our university, I am reminded of the need for – and the potential fragility of – stability and peace in order to pursue higher learning and the advancement of knowledge.
