The 黑料网爆吃瓜 Graduate Diploma in Teaching & Learning 鈥� Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL) is a course-based program tailored for uncertified, experienced educators working in Quebec. Delivered primarily in person in the heart of Downtown Montreal, this pathway uses a Competency-based Education Model that directly connects action research to real classroom challenges.
This Graduate Diploma program is tailored for long-term teaching professionals who need an efficient route to formal teacher certification in Elementary and Secondary English as a Second Language (grades K-11). Program coursework focuses on philosophical and educational theory in relation to the teaching profession, in particular, curriculum studies, pedagogy, indigenizing praxis, diversity and inclusive educational practices, assessment, and Quebec education policy. The flexibility of this program allows you to elevate your professional standing and protect your career longevity without pausing your current teaching contract.
Students who complete the Teaching & Learning Graduate Diploma are recommended for a Probationary Brevet.
Note:听The French Second Language program is currently not offered.

Program Description
The Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning English or French Second Language focuses on philosophical and educational theory in relation to the teaching profession, as well as - specifically - curriculum studies, pedagogy, indigenizing praxis, diversity and inclusive educational practices,听assessment, and language and policy in Quebec education.

Applicant Eligibility
Applicants should meet the following requirements:
- Possess an undergraduate degree
- A minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of听3.0 out of a possible 4.0, or a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.2 out of 4.0 in the last two years of full-time studies
- Have at least 30 discipline specific credits (university level). Applicants must complete the听TESL Self-Assessment Grid to self-assess whether their background meets the 30 credit minimum requirement in their discipline. (Note that the department can not pre-assess prior credits for prospective students; this process happens only after applications are submitted.)
- Teaching Experience. Applicants are expected to have a minimum of five years of full-time teaching experience or equivalent and to possess a Letter of Tolerance. Applicants will be prioritized according to both their total number of hours accumulated and length of the contracts.
- A teaching contract valid during the duration of the program

Application Process & Required Documents
All applications are done through听. The application steps and instructional video are on the University's听Future Graduate Students website. The following documents must be part of your application: (Note that all uploaded documents to the portal must be in PDF format.)
- A complete听application form听(accompanied by your application fee payment).
- A current working CV/resume
- A personal statement (two-page maximum)
- A completed听TESL Self-Assessment Grid. Grids must be typed and not hand written.
- A copy of your听unofficial transcripts听from all previous university level studies (undergraduate and graduate, including exchanges with other institutions, even if the credits appear on your home institution transcript). (Official transcripts will be required only after you are officially admitted to the program.)
- Two letters of recommendation: At least one of the references must be from a school principal, a school board, or Centre des Services Scholaires in Quebec. You will be prompted to provide the names and contact information of your referees in your application portal. An email request will be generated, prompting referees to upload their letter of recommendation directly to your application portal.
- Letter of Tolerance issued from a School Board or Centre des Services Scolaires in Quebec.
