Q: What can you tell students about how you developed your expertise as an academic writer?
A: Developing as an academic writer when it comes right down to it is summed up in the following for me: write autobiographically, re-frame what I have written in more general terms, go to the literature and steep my ideas in the research, write some more, edit, read, edit, read, edit, edit, edit.
