Partnerships across the globe make University of Maryland Global Campus (ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï) stronger and amplify its impact. recently modeled this fact through donations to the United Service Organizations (USO), the leading nonprofit dedicated to strengthening the well-being of people serving in America's military and their families.
In late February, the ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï in Europe team contributed supplies—such as notebooks and pens—to help advance the USO’s mission in Germany. The team is also offering volunteer support. Nancy Harcar, a military education coordinator with ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï in Europe, worked with her husband, Brian Burgoyne, a USO center operations manager, to make it happen.
The partnership between ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï and the USO is longstanding. Both organizations work alongside one another at multiple locations, reinforcing ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï's dedication to serving those who serve and USO's commitment to supporting members of the military as well as their loved ones.
