36 Faculty of Science professors receive NSERC Discovery Grants funding
Thirty-six Faculty of Science professors have been awarded funding through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) Discovery Grant program.
The Discovery Grants program is NSERC's largest and longest-standing program. Discovery Grants support ongoing projects with long-term goals, providing researchers with the flexibility to explore the most promising avenues of research as they emerge.
The funding by the Honourable Mélanie Joly, Minister of Industry and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions along with Karim Bardeesy, Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Industry, and Dominique O’Rourke, Member of Parliament for Guelph, as part of a suite of investments in discovery and applied research totaling $630 million.
