The presence and experiences of Black people at elite universities have been largely underrepresented and erased from institutional histories. This book engages with a collection of these experiences that span half a century and reflect differences in class, gender, and national identifications among Black scholars. By mapping Black people’s experiences of studying and teaching at ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï, this book reveals how the "whiteness" of the university both includes and exceeds the racial identities of students and professors.

The Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education would like to congratulate Kaila Bonnell for receiving the Chantal Malard Memorial Prize (Graduation Award).

Established in 1997 by the Education Undergraduate Society in memory of Chantal Malard, a former Education student. Awarded to a student who has demonstrated artistic ability, leadership qualities, and involvement in volunteer activities while maintaining a high academic standing (e.g. at least 3.50 CGPA).

Congratulations to Yasmine Coovadia, who completed her Master’s of Science degree in Exercise Physiology based on her work in the Cardiovascular Health and Autonomic Regulation Laboratory (CHARLab) under the supervision of Dr. Charlotte Usselman.
