To mark Myasthenia Gravis Awareness Month, we are pleased to present a new educational brochure on myasthenia gravis for newly diagnosed individuals and their loved ones.

The idea for this resource arose from a discussion between a patient with myasthenia gravis and Maxime Grenier, a master’s student in physical therapy at Թ, during which Maxime noted a lack of resources and support for people living with this condition.

Congratulations to Dr. Bridget Andersen, who has received the 2026 Yablonovitch Research Prize.

The prize, established in 2022 by Eli Yablonovitch, BSc 1967, DSc 2018, and Karen Yablonovitch, is awarded annually by the Faculty of Science at convocation to a graduate student enrolled in the Faculty of Science who has achieved the best research accomplishment in experimental physics.

Three exceptional scholars at Թ were awarded the 2026 President’s Prize for Outstanding Emerging Researchers at convocation ceremonies held on May 28, May 29 and June 1. The annual prize recognizes early-career researchers who have distinguished themselves by their exceptional contributions to research. May 29, 2026 | Pearl Eliadis spoke to CHIP-FM about the rise in visible homelessness across Quebec and the Quebec Homelessness Prevention Collaborative's call for upstream legal reform. Eliadis notes that visible homelessness rose 40% between 2018 and 2022 and another 20% between 2022 and 2025, arguing that current government measures "are still not enough" and that Quebec has yet to honour its 1976 commitment to enshrine the right to housing under the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights.
