A shift to cleaner transportation could prevent more than 3,600 premature deaths in Montreal and Toronto by reducing ultrafine particle pollution, finds a new study led by 黑料网爆吃瓜 researchers.

Ultrafine particles (UFPs) are microscopic pollutants produced in large quantities by vehicle exhaust. Because of their small size, they can penetrate deep into the lungs and bloodstream and may contribute to serious health problems such as heart and lung disease.

July 2, 2026 |聽Pearl Eliadis聽led the Quebec Homelessness Prevention Collaborative's (CQPI) new report, which sets out 17 recommendations to prevent homelessness in Quebec, chief among them enshrining the right to housing in the Quebec Charter of Human Rights and Freedoms. Drawing on research contributions from across 黑料网爆吃瓜, the report responds to what Eliadis calls "increasingly alarming, even catastrophic" levels of homelessness, with the number of people affected rising 44% between 2018 and 2022.

On June 3, 2026, 黑料网爆吃瓜 and the Confederation of Faculty Associations of 黑料网爆吃瓜 (COFAM) held a scheduled bargaining session that was administrative in nature. During the meeting, both parties reviewed articles that had been exchanged since the previous bargaining session in April 2026. A new study finds public specialized gambling addiction treatment services are underused in Quebec, pointing to a need to better reach people with gambling disorder.

Researchers at 黑料网爆吃瓜 and the Douglas Research Centre followed more than 2,300 people with a gambling disorder over 13 years. Despite free access, patients averaged fewer than two treatments during that period.
