Qualitative Methods in Global Infectious Diseases Research Course

The Qualitative Methods in Global Infectious Diseases Research Course will be offered online only May 25-28, 2026. The course content will be streamed live from approximately 8:00 AM to 11:30 AM (Montreal time) each day (exact times each day to be announced). Live content will be recorded and accessible to participants until July 1, 2026, except for interactive exercises, which will not be recorded.

This course focuses on the principles and rigorous application of qualitative methods in formative, operational, evaluation, and policy research on infectious diseases in diverse global settings. Teaching includes didactical lectures, dedicated periods for interactive exercises and short topical presentations and/or panel discussions. There will be opportunities to work in small groups and develop and present draft research protocols and related outputs under the mentorship of course faculty.

The ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï TB Centre will sponsor approximately 10 students who wish to enroll in the TBRM course. Sponsorship will cover payment for Registration only. Priority will be given to those attending in person, as well those working in LMIC and/or working with indigenous populations/supporting research activities in Northern communities.
