Current Research Projects:

  • Phase 2 and Phase 3 randomized clinical trials of novel TB preventive therapy, individual patient data meta-analyses of treatment of TB disease, including multi-drug resistant TB, INH resistant TB, use of high-dose Rifampin for TB disease treatment, and treatment of TB infection.
  • Research interests also include the diagnosis of TB infection through TB skin tests and blood-based assays. He has an extensive network of collaborators across Canada and in many other countries for these studies. As Director of the ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï WHO Collaborating Centre for TB research, he works closely with the Global TB group at the World Health Organization as well.
